Sub Proposals nomic
A limited-proposals nomic idea that would include one weekly group-proposal to be voted on, composed of subproposals made by different players.
The goal of this idea is to combine some concepts and ideas I found particularly enjoyable in round 10
- A slower game week
- Politics regarding the passing of proposals
- Competitive and limited point system
- Larger collaborative proposal drafting
As well as some ideas i think would be fun to explore
- A limited voting system
- Enforced cooperation
Assembling Proposals out of SubProposals
All players can submit 1 subproposal per week, at any time during that week.
All players have three tokens to assign to subproposals of their choice during the week. A player may not use their tokens on a subproposal made by themselves. A player can assign only one token to any given subproposal. Any unassigned tokens at the end of the week subtract their power from any subproposal their owning player has made.
The tokens:
- 3 power token
- 2 power token
- 1 power token
At the end of the week, the five subproposals with the highest power are combined to form The Weekly Proposal. The Weekly Proposal is then put up for a vote from all players for the entire following week. All players must vote either for or against the Weekly Proposal. The player whose subproposal received the highest power may chose if the subproposals take effect from weakest to strongest, or strongest to weakest. The players whose subproposals were placed into the Weekly Proposal receive points equal to the power their subproposal had.
Reconciliation
If two or more subproposals contained within a weekly proposal conflict with eachother in a way that would cause one of them to not take effect, a 48 hour reconciliation may be started with the assent of at least 4 players. Each player can cast 1 vote in any givenn reconciliation, and can cast it for one of the following options:
- Vote for one subproposal to keep
- Nullify the reconciliation
At the end of the reconciliation, the option with the most votes is carried out. In the case of a tie, the Judge may choose which of the tied options is carried out
